Invitation: VIDEO ATE THE WEB?

Parkview provides M&A Advisory Services and Strategic Checkups, a one-of-a-kind service that helps startups understand what they need to do to prepare for a successful exit.

NEW YORK, New York — If you are the CEO of a web company or a digital strategist in a major company, you need to be thinking about your video business model. Video is taking over the web and the rush is on. Take a look at these Vine and Instagram Video stats from Digiday — they are eye popping. Facebook video streams have tripled in the last 3 months, and video posts now generate a higher organic reach than photo posts on the social network. A lot of the video views are taking place on mobile.

But it’s not all. One of the biggest buzzword in the M&A world that Parkview inhabits is “OTT.” In case you are wondering, it means Over The Top, and it goes nicely with other buzzwords like Cord Cutters. We are of course talking about the mad rush for every content company in the world to kiss its current distribution partner (Cable and Satellite) goodbye and try its luck in reaching users directly with mobile apps and smart TV channels.

Ann Lundberg, SVP Digital Sales, Food & Cooking, Scripps Networks, and a longtime NetForum member will contribute insights about her experience at Scripps, including its recently announced groundbreaking deal with SnapChat to create a Food Network video channel on the service. As always, the NetForum members will be summoned to express their views.

RSPV NOW (Really, we can only accommodate 25 people per event, by design, so we ask everyone to say yes or no.)
